Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer for a 12-month contract to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, particularly in building scalable and robust applications. You will work closely with our product and engineering teams to develop, optimise, and maintain our AI-driven financial reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.

  • Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.

  • Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging.

  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or similar.

  • Experience with web frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, Spring).

  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React).

  • Knowledge of databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and data structures.

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
